Hello Again-
Week number 4 and I think I am actually getting the hang of this blogging thing!
I had a 2 hour conversation with one of my administrators Tuesday about the technology issues at my school. One of the topics in our discussion was the lack of use in technologies such as blogging and wikis. Coincidentally, these are the topics for our readings this week. The readings helped me to make a strong convincing argument in showing just how out of touch the school is by not participating in using some of these educational tools. Finally, I feel like I was able to raise some eyebrows about the possibilities these tools could offer to the students. With a continual push, I might even be able to make some positive changes this school year. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I'm still green on many of these tools myself, but I am having fun learning about them as well as learning about their potential for educational change.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you this week.

Hello. Glad you are feeling a bit more comfortable with blogging. I see many more possibilities for educational use now. Hopefully you will also see them soon.
Sounds great that what we are learning in the course is helping you to get administrative buy-in at school.
Oh, and if you find somewhere to order those extra hours, let me know as I could use more than a few of them.
Be brave and bold! First, these technologies are free - how many things can you say that about - and are awesome for colloboration. You always have to be prepared for some students to misuse it - but you can say that about many things in a classroom.
Pamela-
I had a great time with our 6 person group chat the other day! What fun. Now if that was fun for us, then imagine how fun that could be for students.
