Well hello again everyone-
Week ten - can you believe it??? The quarter seemes like it just started and here we are wrapping things up. I have spent the week trying to get my final paper done. I just have to reread it to make sure there are not typos, grammar errors, etc...
I finished looking throught the MM projects and I really enjoyed them. I learned alot and hope to get some extra time this summer to spend on learning how to use some of the tools like flash, video and sound tools, wikis, podcasts, etc...
Finally, I had some nice chats on skype. It seems like everyone is busy getting the fial assignments done and making plans for summer activities, including the upcoming summer residencies. Anyone going to Minneapolis? Hope to see you there.

I do plan on going to Minneapolis this summer. I'm trying to be brave and stay in a campus dorm. See you there!
There was a chat session this week on Minneapolis. A number of 8823 classmates are going. Now that we know each other better through skype, it will be fun to meet in person.
I went last summer. It is a lovely campus, and the dorm rooms were comfortable. I liked being close to the sessions. There is lots to choose from in the cafeteria, so seemed to me like everyone could find some things they liked. There is a great Thai food place within walking distance.

I'll be going to MN this summer too. Hopefully I'll see you there. I went last summer, and it was a great campus. I stayed in a dorm, which was a change, as I've never done that before. The person who had shared access to the bathroom (I was in one of the rooms where there was a bathroom with doors on either side for private access to it from the bedrooms) kept locking the door and forgetting to unlock it when she was done. Hopefully it'll be better this time. There was also a great organic market in walking distance, with really yummy food, along with some great restaurants.
I'll be in Minneapolis (probably starting the Wednesday of the residency) for faculty meeting stuff. If there is a little 8823 get together, I'd love if we can arrange it for after I arrive as it would be great to meet folks.

As of today we have 14 days remaining. We are also beginning to wind things down. My books are packed and just one or two more boxes to completely finish. I really need the break.

Perhaps we could exchange cell numbers. I know a bunk of folks have said they are going. Wouldn't it be nice for the group to meet in person.
